Framing Health

Learn how to apply values-based messaging to your health promotion work in this online workshop.

The Framing Health workshop builds upon the recommendations included in VicHealth’s Healthy Persuasion message guide.

In the workshop we share insights from four years of extensive messaging testing on a range of health promotion topics including alcohol and food policy, active transport, smoking, vaping, workplace health and gender equality.

Over three Zoom-based sessions, you will:

  • Discover our evidence-based top tips for health promotion messaging

  • Learn how to connect with your audience and their values using vision-led messaging

  • Workshop an example of your own messaging with feedback from our expert trainer

Who should attend

This workshop is tailored for people working in public health and health promotion who are eager to apply values-based messaging to their work. It is suitable to those working on either behaviour change programs or policy and advocacy. Prior communications experience or training is a bonus, but not required.

 

We recommend reading the Healthy Persuasion message guide in preparation for this workshop. The guide can be accessed via the VicHealth website.
